With sadness, we share the passing of Joe Sampson (Port Hope, Michigan). Joe, born on July 4, 1942 in Macomb, Michigan, passed away on August 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sisters, Barbara Macdougall and Lucille Rucha (Frank). He is survived by: his wife Wanda; his children, Joy Sampson, Petti Sampson and Mary Helzer (Jay); his brother Ernie Sampson (Jane); his brother-in-law Bob Macdougall (Barbard); his grandsons, Richie Kaminski, John "The Walrus" Helzer and Patrick Helzer; his daughter-in-law Tonyia Kaminski; and his great grandchildren, Kaylee Sue, Logan Joseph, Alexis Virginia and Allison Grace. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
