He was predeceased by: his father Otto Schave; and his siblings, Edward Schave, Arthur Schave, Alfred Schave, Dorothy Pawlitz, Frances Berndt, Arnold Schave and Mabel Siemen.
He is survived by: his daughter Cindy Chiotti (Randy); and his grandchildren, Jenelle Layer (Richard), Erik Pye (Ally), Amy Faber (Kevin) and Alison Brosnihan (Andrew). He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
