She was predeceased by: her father Donald Flaherty; her children, Eugene Shafer and Debbie Parker; and her siblings, Jeanne "Anne" Zapata, Ruth Kish, Paul "John" and Sam Flaherty.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Shafer; her children, Sheri Bryant (Garland), Steven Shafer (Misty) and Craig Shafer (Laura); her grandchildren, Jessica, Garland II, Austin, Steven, Nicole and Meadow; and her son Anthony. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
