He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Barbetta and Anthony Barbetta; his brother Leo Barbetta; and his nephews, Tony and Jim Barbetta.

He is survived by: his wife Katherine Barbetta; his daughters, Theresa Rice, Christine Tolomei and Kelly Sturdivent; his sons-in-law, Robert Rice, Gregory Tolomei and Shawn Sturdivent; and his grandchildren, Dina Tolomei, Nicole Broughton, Corey Tolomei, Derick Johnson and Zachary Sturdivent.
