With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell R. Hanson (Port Huron, Michigan), who passed away on December 4, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Darrell leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raynard Hanson and Ruby Hanson (Hamann); and his former wife Pat Hanson. He is survived by: his wife Karen Hanson; his siblings, Gary Hanson (Phyllis), Karen Myers (Bill) and Susan Hanson (Steve); and his siblings' children, Sue Kelly (Tim), Barb Howard and Dan Howard (Sharon). He is also survived by other many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Darrell to be made to your own favorite charity or organization.
