She is survived by: her husband John Thomason; her daughter Shanta Anderson (Anthony); her grandchildren, Tenaya Duren, Melvin Duren III, Alicia Thomason, Destiny Riggins, Dejha Riggins, Davonya Riggins and Marcease Howard (Melissa); her siblings, Sylvester Hill Jr. (Janice), Ricky Hill (Rhonda), Curley Mae Bell, Veter Nichols-Shaw (Melvin), Lorraine Powell, Brenda Thomason (Joel) and Lena Smith (Harold); her close friend Cecilia Combs; and her godchildren, Tiara Jemison, Ciara Jemison, Jazmine Jemison, James Jemison Jr. and Katora Shari Boyd. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
