She was predeceased by: her son Anthony "Tony" Walker; her parents, Annie Mae Rucker and James "Bull" Maxwell; and her siblings, John Rucker, Geneva Walker, Lizzie Mae Heard, Michael, Tommy, Roe James and Clifford Maxwell.

She is survived by: her husband Johnny; her children, Bernadette McKelvy (Gerald) and Johnny Walker Jr. (Michelle Wurmlinger); her grandchildren, Jeffery Walker, Aaliyah Muma, Deandre Swinson, Khloe McKelvy and Gerald McKelvy II; her great grandchild Jakari Muma; her siblings, Tyrone Clark (Kaki), Larry Clark, Alice Maxwell and Traci Maxwell; her mother-in-law Mary A. Walker; her siblings-in-law, Marilyn Walker and Charles Walker; her aunts, Susie Katherine Thomason, Earlene Rucker and Mary Ruth McIntosh; her goddaughters, Tyna Scott-Edwards, Maxine Brown, Cinnamon and Brianna Rigmaiden; and her close friends, Myrtis Seals and Elizabeth Woodyard. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Leslie Rucker, Demarr Dinkins, Clarence Walker, Joseph Walker Sr. and Dock Walker.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
