We are sad to announce that on June 18, 2025, at the age of 53, Douglas Arthur Menkel of Port Huron, Michigan, born in Saint Clair, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Douglas Arthur may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Douglas Arthur touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Menkel. He is survived by: his mother Susan Menkel; his daughter Alaura Horner; his siblings, Mark Menkel and Kristine Morris; his niece Samantha; his nephew Brendan Morris; and his godparents, Dennis Fordt and Nancy Zielinski.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home (4061 St Clair Hwy, East China, MI 48054).
Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
