It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Efstratia Janis of Port Huron, Michigan, who passed away on March 10, 2023, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Efstratia Janis to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Konstantina Kopita and Panayioti Kopita; her husband James Janis; her siblings, Yiannis Kopita, Eugenia Politis, Demetrios Kopita, Vasiliki Karakitsos and Elmina Gallas; her niece Nadia Kopita; and her nephews, Aristomenes Karakitsos, Dr. Peter Gallas, Dr. George Politis (Rita) and Dr. John Karakitsos (Coleen).

She is survived by: her nephews, James Gallas (Helen) and Dr. Manny Gallas (Stacey); her niece Dr. Eugenia Kopita; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Dimitri Karakitsos (Anna), Manny Karakitsos, Dr. Eugenia Politis (Peter), Anne Politis Hadgis (Craig), Demetri Politis, Peter, Teddy and Christina Gallas; and her sister-in-law Panayota Kopita. She is also survived by many other family members and godchildren.
