He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Milting and Ella Milting; his siblings, Victor Milting, Betty Gideon and Lida Bossow; and his children, David Milting and Kathy Milting.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ellen Plantier; his children, Kay Howcroft (Howard), Carl Milting (Patricia) and Tina Rivera; his grandchildren, Sarah Roberson (Aaron), Rine Hessel (Rachel), Sharon Russell (Matthew), Brandon, Zachary, Joshua, Karley Howcroft and Aiyanna Rivera; and his great grandchildren, Madalyn, Emalie Roberson, Ryan Hessel, Lucas Schultz, Lorenzo and Leonardo Russell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
