She is survived by: her husband Syed Showkat Hossain; her children, Sadaat Hossain, Syeda MacEachern (Mark), Shumi Ferguson and Shahida Hossain; her grandchildren, Gabriel, Maya Ferguson, Priya, Fiona Hossain, Judah, Eloise Hossain and Linus MacEachern; and her siblings, Hasna Banu, Khurshid Jahan, Yusuf Ahmed (Fauzia), Faruq Moinuddin (Farzana) and Tareq Nizam (Khuku). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
