He is survived by : his children, Penny Stern (Paul) and Gary Thomes Jr. (Tracie); his grandchildren, Lowell, Franklin Stark, Alysia Hughes (Tyler), Alex Thomes (Katelyn Walter), Aerialle VanVianen and Juliette Gilbert; and his great grandchildren, Taylor Trombley, Jaylene Stark, Dominic Beblowski and Clayton VanVianen.
