JoAnn Wine Obituary
We announce the death of JoAnn Wine of Port Huron, Michigan, who passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 89. JoAnn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hisscock and Thelma Hisscock; her husband Raymond L. Wine; her daughter Susan Wine; her sister Donna Faye Slingerland; and her stepfather Francis "Frank" Alberts.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Wine (Debra) and Andrea Wine Cansfield; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Wine (Lauren), Avery Wine (Jared Chapman), Patrick Cansfield (Laura), Andrew Cansfield and Kellen Cansfield (Tucker McGinnis); her great grandchildren, Siena, Daniel, Abigail, Gemma and Palmer; her nieces, Diane Slingerland and Dondra Slingerland; and her great-niece Deidre Slingerland.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home (1720 Elk St, Port Huron, MI 48060). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the YMCA of the Blue Water Area, McLaren Hospice, or the Port Huron Firefighters Association.
