He was predeceased by: his father John E. Schef; and his brother Craig Schef. He is survived by: his wife Terri; his sons, Steven Schef (Katie), Edward DeWitt, Justin, Stephen and Daniel Rutherford; his grandson Caden Schef; his mother Betty Jean Schef; and his siblings, Sally Schef, Thomas Schef (Linda), Peggy VanOstran, Mary Herr and Daniel Schef (Nora). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
