He was predeceased by: his father Russell Abate; and his nephew Russell Ward. He is survived by: his mother Kathleen Abate (Jurczak) of Grant Twp; his sisters, Maria Polechonski of Yale and Kathleen Ward (Benjamin) of Avoca; his nephew Michal; and his niece Brianna.
