She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kodet and Agnes Kodet; her former husband Wilhelm Bennert; her husband Richard D. Meyers; her son-in-law Eugene Wrubel; her stepson Robert Meyers; and her siblings, Elmer Kodet (Lavina) and Lillian Sopha (Ralph).
She is survived by: her children, Sheryl Hoffman (Ted), Lorelei Wrubel, Coleen Crockett (Stanley), Brian Bennert (Karen), Heidi Meyers, Wilhelm K. Bennert III and Melinda Duckworth (Mike); her stepchildren, Thomas Meyers and Linda Dobbs; and her stepdaughter-in-law Teresa Meyers. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (3790 W Water St, Port Huron, MI 48060).
