She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Ashley and Sophia Ashley (Albert); her husband Hank Gates; and her son Don Gates. She is survived by: her children, Mike Gates (Lori) of Big Rapids and Michelle Muir (Greg) of Clyde Township; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Tom, Brent, Nick, Courtney, Tara, Kayla, Leah, Adam and Chelsea; and her siblings, Nina, Sondra, George and Elaine. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Her faith was a source of comfort and strength, especially during her battle with Parkinson's Disease.
