He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Krol and Ann Krol; his son Craig Ryan Krol; his daughter-in-law Kathleen Krol; and his son Jeffrey Krol.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Rose; his children, Kristin Plautz (Al Buscemi) and Brian Krol (Kelly Clouse); his son-in-law Dan Plautz; his grandchildren, Colton, Isabelle Plautz, Beckett, Bodhi, Gibson Krol, Emily Stewart (Glaine), Hannah Buscemi-Swisher (Justin) and Grace Buscemi; his stepson Matthew Rose (Karla); his stepgrandson Zachery Rose; his former wife Linda Cavanaugh; and his brothers, Jerry Krol (Diane), Denny Krol (Kay) and Ken Krol (Lynn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia and Alzheimer's Association of St. Clair County.
