He was predeceased by : his parents, Clemens Mitchell and Eva Mitchell; his son James Mitchell; his son-in-law Jim Jeffrey; his grandson Shawn Archer; his great grandchild Alexandria Stoukas; and his brother-in-law Bud Neubauer.

He is survived by : his spouse Donelda Mitchell; his stepdaughters, Debbie Jeffrey and Cindy Archer (Brad Huggett); and his brother-in-law Bob Neubauer.
