He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Bowers and Rachel Bowers; his son-in-law Robert Standefer; his granddaughter Allison Coyle; and his great grandchild Stephen Churchill.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Yax; his children, Raymond Bowers Jr. (Renae), Gilbert Bowers, Helen Standefer, Laura Coyle (Harvey) and Dawn Brohl (John); his grandchildren, Nickolas, Kyle, Brandy, Michael, Julie, Britani, Christina, Gilbert Jr., Desiree, Rease, Aundru, Noah and Breeanna; and his brother Joseph Bowers. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
