He is survived by: his wife Helen Atkins; his daughters, Anne Sherwood (Andrew) and Sarah Whitford; his stepson Christopher Atkins (Diane); his grandchildren, Ellie Sherwood, Sophie Sherwood, Ethan Layton and Matthew Layton; his sister Barbara Whitford; and his nieces, Beth Hensel and Molly Faath.
