He was predeceased by: his parents, John Groch and Harriet Groch; his in-laws, Ralph and Charlotte Stadelman; and his nephew Douglas Groch.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Julie Aucar (John), Brian Groch (Lori) and Dr. Nicholas Groch (Melanie); his grandchildren, John Adam Aucar (Megan), Erin Lenssen (Nick), Kelsey, Dr. Carter, Dawson, Owen, Skeylar, Ronin and Raina Groch; his great grandchild Joanna Lenssen; his brother David Groch (Donna); and his niece Debi Anson (Don).
He was honored by the American Baseball Association with its Meritorious Service Award and also by the National Junior College with its Service Award for his contributions to two-year college athletics.
