With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert LaBate of Port Huron, Michigan, born in Dearborn, Michigan, who passed away on April 5, 2024 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert LaBate to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John LaBate and Elizabeth LaBate (Ilosvay); and his brother Nick LaBate. He is survived by : his daughters, Yvonne Bridget LaBate, Sheryl Lynn LaBate and Robin Giasone (Leonard) of Clyde Township; his grandchildren, Ted LaBate, Candise Wetmore, Brandon Cornett (Kelly), Brittany Cornett and Scott Padden; his great grandchildren, Ryder, Peyton, Piper and Kora; and his siblings, Richard LaBate, Joan Dodge, Mary Kirby, John and Virginia. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A burial was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).

Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
