He was predeceased by: his father Douglas Mathews. He is survived by: his mother Betty Mathews; his sisters, Gail Oleski (Jeff) and Christine Landry (Brent); his nephews, Brad Mathews and Brent Landry; his niece Shelbey Jane Landry; and his great-niece Alysa Mathews. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
