He was predeceased by: his mother Rosella Hachee; and his children, William Hachee of Port Huron and Jacqueline Hachee of California. He is survived by: his wife Alice of Orcas Island, Washington; and his children, James Hachee, Mark Hachee (Gretchen), Susan Armour, Nicole Winston (Shawn) of Marysville and Matthew Hachee (Regina) of New York. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters; and many close friends.
