He was predeceased by : his parents, Christian J. Emerick and Rose E. Emerick; his daughter Stephanie Vaughn; and his siblings, Cathey Weaver and Robert Emerick.

He is survived by : his wife Beth Downing; his children, Ronald Emerick Jr., William Swoffer (Teresa) and Jessica LaMarsh (William); his siblings, Charon Sontag, Timothy Emerick and Helen Dempsey (Sean); and his sister-in-law Rosary Emerick. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
