He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Thornton and Verita Thornton; and his brother Rodney Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Pamela J. Moore; his children, Curtis Thornton (Amanda), Kristen Thornton (Chris Fenton) and Jeffrey Thornton; his stepson Anthony Kostowny; his grandchildren, Hallie and Noah Thornton; and his sister Cindy Reetz.
