He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Carson and Eileen Carson (Wedge); his wife Barbara Sue Blythe; and his sister Linda Freeman. He is survived by: his daughters, Stacie Stein (Gerald) and Deborah McCartney (Stephen); his grandchildren, Zachary, Madeline, Natalie Stein, Jacob, Abigail, Tyler McCartney and Cailyn Trahan (Spencer); his great grandchildren, Ellie Mae, Myla and Violet; his sisters, Bonnie Peercy and Connie Gilbert; and his brother-in-law Tom Freeman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Clair County Council on Aging for the Meals on Wheels program.
