He is survived by: his wife Tracy; his children, Corey Cates, Shayna Cates (Daniel Chapman, Sr.), Darien Cates, Tatiana Cates, Carl Cates and Brandon Sumner; his grandchildren, Nevaeh Cates-Hall, Skyee Hall, Meela Kessel, Richard Hall, Jr. and Daniel Chapman, Jr.; his siblings, Marla Willis (Randy), Dionne Jackson and Roman; and his sisters-in-law, Jessica Sera and Jamie Sera-May (Dave). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
