He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Weatherspoon and Wheatley Weatherspoon Sr.; his wife Mary Kathleen Lott; and his daughter Annekki Richmond. He is survived by: his son Kim Weatherspoon; and his siblings, Betty Weatherspoon, Gary Weatherspoon (Shirley), Calvin Weatherspoon (Cynthia "Cookie") and Sheila Ward (Don). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild.
