He is survived by: his children, Aaron Mirakovits (Nathan Robinson) and Lindsay Lefers (Quentin Lefers); his grandchildren, Charlotte and Edward Lefers; his sisters, Donna Bruns (Darcy Bruns), Grace Cunningham (Mike Cunningham), Kathy Busch Mirakovits and Cindy Zack; and his wife Cindy Zack.
A reception was held on Sunday, February 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kalamazoo Nature Center - Glen Vista Room (7000 N Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49009).
