He was predeceased by: his wife Nelda Sue Hayes; his parents, Florence Hayes and Eden Hayes; and his brother Harry Hayes. He is survived by: his children, Teresa Patterson (Patrick Patterson), Todd Hayes, Julie Lantz (Tom Lantz) and Joni Champion (Joe Champion); his grandchildren, Emily Gray (Sam Gray), Alicia Patterson, Lauren Patterson, Brennan Champion (Lauren Champion), Lydia Champion, Griffin Lantz, Caden Lantz, Quincy Lantz and Erin Hayes; his great grandchild Gray; and his siblings, Sharon Strouse and Dennis Hayes.
