Connie S. Sims Obituary

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. noon at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses, in c/o the funeral home.

Connie Sheree Sims age 41 of Portage passed away Monday night, June 15, 2026. Connie was born in Seneca Falls, NY, on February 22, 1985, the daughter of Charles Oscar and Dawn Marie (Pratt) Sims. Connie was a great shopper and she loved finding bargains. She loved books, movies, art and music. An avid game player, she was very competitive. She was very adventurous. Connie had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke, unless the joke was on her! She loved all animals, cats, dogs, horses – you name it! Connie was a person of faith and always carried God in her heart. Connie is survived by her life partner, Aaron Jamison; mother, Dawn Sims; father, Charles O. Sims; paternal grandmother. Pearl Sims; siblings, Natasha Nichole Sims, Amber (Robbie Robinson) Sims; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Connie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; paternal grandfather; and a cousin, Jose.
