He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Kelly and Leola Kelly (Green); his wives, Joyce, Anna and Ethel Kelly; his son Michael Kelly; and his siblings, Kenneth Kelly and Patricia Hruska.
He is survived by: his children, Patrick Kelly (Carolyn) and Mary Jo Slagter (Paul); and his stepchildren, Edward Arbut (Mary), Thomas Arbut (Nancy), Linda Wait, Greg Arbut (Jami), Christine Simon, Vera Eernisse, Michael Petersen and John Petersen. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (421 Monroe St, Kalamazoo, MI 49006). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:30 PM and at 2:00 PM at the Maple Grove Cemetery (5240 Azo Ct, Kalamazoo, MI 49048).
