He is survived by: his brothers, Bill and Ray; his wife Carolyn Howlett; his children, Carolyn Beth, Dan Neff, Amie Campbell (John Hanson) and Craig (Lydia Campbell); his grandchildren, David, Kailan Neff, Matthew Campbell, Katherine, Geoff Gibson and Brian Campbell; his great grandchildren, Peyton Gibson, Logan Gibson, Ray Neff and Ellie Neff; Norma.

While he was teaching, he also found time to acquire 30 National Science Foundation hours.
