He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Hay and Rita Hay (Gilbert) of Bellevue, Ohio.; his grandparents, Ernest, Doris Gilbert (Eisenhauer), Leon and Rosemarie Hay (Hipp); and his nephew Ethan.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ellen Scott of Tontogany; his daughter Taylor Ellen; his sister Jodi Gaietto (Chuck) of Tiffin, Ohio; his aunt Pam Verhoff (Dan) of Bellevue, Ohio; his cousin Brian Eisenhauer (Deb); his parents-in-law, Bernard, Jean Scott (Mattingly) of Tontogany, Ohio, Selene Bostdorff (Jim) of Bowling Green, Ohio, Gary Scott (Lauri) of Gastonia, NC, Alan Scott (Monica) of Menomonie, WI, Jill Beach (John) of Haskins, Dasa Dziewa (Matt) of Haskins and Sara Brown (Craig) of Botkins, Ohio.; and his close friend Andrew. He is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews.
