He was predeceased by: his parents, Alburton Johnson and Esther Johnson (Cam); and his brother-in-law Steve Rutherford. He is survived by: his wife Caryle; his children, Kariann Johnson of South Haven and Joshua Johnson (Meghan) of Portage; his grandchildren, Autumn Leadingham, Graham, Drake and Chris Johnson; and his sisters, Joyce Rutherford of Kalamazoo and Jeana Alexander (Derek) of Allegan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the D. L. Miller Funeral Home, Inc. - Bangor (258 W Monroe St, Bangor, MI 49013). A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials be made to his grandchildren's sports activities fund.
