As we bid JoAnn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For JoAnn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Anna Opalek (Beer) and Joseph Opalek; her children, Keith Harris (Lu), Kelly Frederick (Brent), Brian Harris and Jennifer McCulloch (Mark); and her grandchildren, Rachael Frederick, Nicholas Frederick, Emily McCulloch and Megan McCulloch.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena (1150 W Centre Ave, Portage, MI 49024).
