She was predeceased by : her parents, Benjamin Lizak and Barbara Lizak (Toth); her husband James Lait; her siblings, Benjamin, Frank, Barbara and Margaret; and her children-in-law, Kalman Sachs and Sherry Murphy Lait.

She is survived by : her children, James Lait (Nancy Stewart) of Kalamazoo and Judith Sachs of Chicago; her grandchildren, Amanda and Benjamin Sachs of Chicago; and her great grandchild Addison Maysonet of Chicago.

Memorial contributions may be made in Marie's honor to any local multiple sclerosis or breast cancer organization.
