He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar W. Stuart and Verda Stuart (Moyer); his son John Wayne Stuart; his grandson Kevin Kline; his great grandchild Libby Fisher; and his brother Dean Stuart.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Rose Mast; his son David R. Stuart (Edith) of Sturgis, Michigan; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Fisher (Scott), Robert Stuart (Mindy), Christopher Stuart (Jessica), Carrie Degitz (Jamie), Craig Kline (Stephanie), Andrew Kline (Crissy) and Kelly Kline (Stephanie). He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rosenberg Chapel (807 E Chicago Rd, Sturgis, MI 49091). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
