Peter W. Dame Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter W. Dame of Portage, Michigan, who passed away on May 4, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore and Wilhelmina Dame (Karp); his brothers, Cornelius and Roger; and his brother-in-law Jerry Heiss.
He is survived by: his wife Rose A. Dame (Heiss); his children, Peter Dame (Kristen) and Anne Dame; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Brian and Shannon; his stepgrandchildren, Amber and Michael Nevin; his brother Bill Dame; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Heiss and Mary Lou Dame. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Heritage Christian Reformed Church (2857 S 11th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries or the Grant Christian School.
