He is survived by: his children, Nola Jean Hicks and James Michalka (Karole); his grandchildren, Kaitlin O'Connor (Chris), Robert Michalka (Courtney), Alex Hicks and Cameron Michalka (Chelsea); and his sister Lucille Michalka Jekel.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes - Westside Chapel (3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The American Cancer Society or Centrica Rose Arbor Place.
