Ruth J. Lindrus Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Ruth J. Lindrus in Portage, Michigan is shared. Ruth, born on October 12, 1933, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Ruth will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Ruth by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Ruth is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Ruth’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hjalmer Luokka and Lempi Luokka (Jaakkola); her husband Leslie Lindrus; and her brothers, Marvin Luokka and Melvin Luokka.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jean Luokka and David Luokka; and her sisters-in-law, Sara Luokka and Florence Luokka. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Houghton (47617 Gundlach Rd, Houghton, MI 49931). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
