Friends will be received 9:30 am to 10:30 am Friday September 5, 2025 at Pathfinder Church, 8740 S. Westnedge Ave. Portage, MI where services will follow at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park with military honors by the U.S. Marine Corps and Otsego VFW Post #3030. Memorial contributions may be made to Pathfinder Church, c/o the funeral home.
Age 93 of Portage, passed away Saturday August 30, 2025 at home. Wesley was born September 23, 1931 in Kalamazoo the son of Wesley and Edna (Kibler) Beatty. He attended Kalamazoo Central High School and graduated from Portage Central High School; Wesley was a Korean War veteran serving in the Marine Corps. He worked as a craftsman for Gibson Guitar and was a member of Pathfinder Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking. On November 23, 1956 in Kalamazoo Wesley was united in marriage to Mary E. (Ewert) Beatty who survives. Also surviving are 3 children, Diane (Clesson) Parsons, David (Kathy) Beatty, Jeffrey Beatty; 4 grandchildren, Shawn (Kasonya) Parsons, Steven Parsons, Noah Beatty, Kailyn Beatty; 1 great-granddaughter, Leighton Parsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Charles Beatty; sister, Irma Warfield.
