He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ball and Reva Ball (Groves); his siblings, Wayne, Gail and Joyce; his daughter Linda; and his former wife Jean Ann Cartwright (Ball).
He is survived by: his wife Susie Smith; his son Mike (Janel Ball); and his grandchildren, John, Kelly Smith and Richard Smith.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Congregational Church (421 E Bridge St, Portland, MI 48875). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
