He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Vashaw and Phyllis Arlene Vashaw (West); his brothers, Jim Vashaw (JoAnn) and Jack Vashaw; his parents-in-law, Norman, Edna Weber, Wayne Schrauben, Dan English, Marvin Weber and Arlene Weber; and his niece Kristin Czaika.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Vashaw; his children, Robert Vashaw (Carrie), Steve Vashaw (Abigail), Brenda Garner (Bill) and Vicki Krueger (Ryan); his grandchildren, Kasey Heckman (Adam), Leigha Vashaw, Tate Schrauben (Trissa), Kylee Schrauben, Cameron Krueger, Eli Krueger, Ever Pratt-Hart, Elijah Minken-Hart and Elizabeth Minken-Hart; his great grandchild Levi Heckman; his siblings, Val Fisher (Paul), Darlene Schrauben and Bonnie Czaika (Wally); and his parents-in-law, Jane Goodman (Jerry), Lee Weber (Jane), Jerome Weber, Dan Weber (Joyce) and Janice Bollman (Jim).
