She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thompson and Emma Lee McMurtry; her husband Allen Rodrick Thompson; and her siblings, Byrdie, Jerry, Floyd and Alvin Thompson.
She is survived by: her brothers, Ernst Thompson (Judy) and William Wesley Thompson (Betty). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Shirley's memory to Blood Cancer United, Inc. A private ceremony will be held to honor Shirley's life and legacy.
