John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pavlik and Alberta Pavlik (Ryers); his grandson Jens Gillings; his siblings, Veronica "Bunny" Reder (Tom), Janette Janusz (Ralph) and Vince Pavlik (Barb); his sister-in-law Pam Pavlik; his parents-in-law, Alfred and Ethel Donovan; his siblings-in-law, Mary Donovan, Noreen Caraway, George Rowley, Ron Ozybko, Ken Blust, John Donovan, Tim Donovan (Diane) and Patrick "Ricky" Donovan; and his pet Scout.
He is survived by: his significant other Jean Pavlik (Donovan); his children, Karen Miller (Jim) of West Branch, Kay Goldberg (Bruce) of Clarkston, John Pavlik (Sherri) of Twining, Maria McAlpin of Mason, Diane Sharich (Wayne Grieve) of Howell and Susan Gillings of Bay City; his grandchildren, Nicole Pavlik Burr, Kelly Riley, Staci Saunders, Jeremy Pavlik, Megan Goldberg, Johnny Pavlik, James Sharich, Mark Goldberg, Levi McAlpin, Andrew Sharich, Derek Gillings, Julie Goldberg, Kayla Riley Shunk, Christopher Limbright, Haley McAlpin, Sarah Riley and Sami McAlpin; his siblings, Gina Stagray of Boca Raton, Rita Pavlik of Fredonia, Steve Pavlik (Janet) of Sterling, Sam Pavlik (Lynn) of Prescott, Darwin Pavlik (Cheryl) of Milwaukee and Joe Pavlik (Sharon) of Racine, Wisconsin.; and his sisters-in-law, Grace Rowley of Gladwin, Patricia Ozybko of Rochester Hills and Edith Blust of East Tawas. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (202 E Sherman St, Whittemore, MI 48770).
