Rosemary D. Meyer Obituary
Mama Rose has been called home. Rosemary Donna Meyer was born in Flint, Michigan, but spent over half of her life in the small community of Skidway Lake, commuting to work at General Motors, which she retired from in 2011.
She lived with her faithful husband Gene Meyer, the occasional family member or child who returned home, and several cats and dogs over the years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where she enjoyed worshipping our Lord with her Faith Family. She enjoyed taking care of her pets and would even donate her time and money to the pets of strangers who were in need. She played an active role at her local Moose Lodge and really enjoyed the many friends she made while helping out.
Rose is predeceased by her sisters Mary, Helen, and Theresa, her daughter Tracyjo, and several other parents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins.
She is survived by her husband, Gene, sons Joey and Scott, her grandchildren Avery, Emma, and Nicholas, her brother Don Hitko and wife Kaye, her best friend, Kathy, special friends Adam, Meghan, and Caroline, along with a multitude of other people she cared for and who adored her.
There will be a celebration of her life on November 1, 2025, at Faith Lutheran Church at 5315 Henderson Lake Rd. Prescott, MI. Social time will be from 11am until 1pm, with a service at 1 pm by Pastor Edward Meyer, and a luncheon to follow. After the luncheon, guests are invited over to the family homestead at 1604 Mills Road, Prescott, for a celebration.
Per her wishes, cremation has been conducted by Ramsey Funeral Homes. In lieu of any plants or flowers, the family is asking for cash donations to support the Tracyjo Memorial Scholarship Fund.
