She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund "Ed" Middel and Dorothy "Dot" Middel (Rimes). She is survived by: her significant other Frederick "Scott" Walls; her daughter Nichole Parshall (Bryan); her grandchildren, Andon Parshall, Garrett Boger and Wyatt Boger of Coldwater; her daughter Kourtney Walls; her grandchildren, Kenadee Walls (Kayne), Morgenn Stauffer-Walls and Kaycenn Stauffer-Walls of Quincy; her sisters, Marlene Mosley (Bobby) and Jacqueline Halliwell; and her aunt Barbara Whitcomb.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family to establish a scholarship fund in Karen's name.
